A more unusual commission

November 2010: Work has begun on the conversion of a standard 13.6 metre ex Woolworths delivery trailer into a luxury lakeside chalet. The work involves reducing overall height and creating a shaped roof.  Twin extension pods are being fitted to increase internal floor space to create an open plan loiving and dining area plus a separate bedroom.

Work commences on new 15,000 Kgs DAF truck
October 2010: We have just started on a major conversion project in which we are taking a new ex Manufacturers demonstrator truck with standard commercial body and will be turning this into a very high status information and training vehicle complete with a range of 6 Smart board displays.

We aim to complete the project by early November.

New mobile classroom for Arts and Minds
October 2010: An Iveco Daily 45C15 chassis cab with box body fitted with a slid out extension pod has just been completed for the charity Arts and Minds. The vehicles model has a GVW of 4500 kgs.

We designed this specifically as an art room with swing out display panels that reveal a full glazed wall which will provide the interior with ample natural light.

New van conversion for Carrot tops Rabbit Rescue
September 2010: Our latest in a line of mobile veterinary mobile surgeries has just been delivered to Carrot tops Rabbit Rescue, a Gloucestershire based charity. This is a van conversion on a second hand Ford Transit LBW with high top. The mobile veterinary surgery is fully fitted to facilitate a wide range of medical procedures and animal health checks.

New training vehicle for SLIC training
July 2010: An Iveco Daily chassis 35C13 chassis cab with 4100 mm wheelbase and GVW of 3500 kgs has just been built into a mobile classroom for Chesterfield based training company, SLIC Training.

The vehicle is a little unusual for us in that we have a walk through cab which is not a common feature for many of our clients. On this occasion the two extra seats provided by the cab prove invaluable for providing maximum student numbers.

New training vehicle for Firebird Boilers
July 2010: Market leading boiler manufacturer and supplier Firebird has just taken delivery of their new mobile training vehicle which is based upon a Fiat Ducato 35 maxi cab with 160 LWB and GVW of 3500 kgs.

This vehicle is fitted out with 4 boilers to enable plumbers to see the company's boilers in working mode. In due course it is planned to fit a solar panel which will hinge out of the rear roller shutter doors.

East Anglian based training company buys fleet of vehicles from Freeway Trailers
June 2010: The Mattishall based training company, Poultec Training, has taken delivery of 3 training vehicles this month. The first being used for general information and consultation whilst another has been fitted out as a full mobile IT training suite.

The third vehicle is fitted out with commercial catering equipment and will be used to combine practical catering training with the provision of hospitality at venues. Giving students the experience of real field based catering.

We converted these vehicles from Fiat Ducato Tri-axle vehicles built originally for John Lewis as IT training units.

APC the overnight parcels company
May 2010: The leading overnight parcels delivery company APC has just taken delivery of their new multi purpose Freeway exhibition / internal training vehicle, based upon a Mercedes cab. The vehicle features a rear entrance door and side opening gull wing to enable the vehicle to be used in closed mode for private training or open in exhibition mode at events.

Computer work station and freestanding seating are included as part of the interior fit out. A built in generator makes the vehicle fully self sufficient

New Dog Van and Animal Transporter for the Society for Abandoned Animals
May 2010: The Society for Abandoned Animals in south east Manchester has recently taken delivery of a new Fiat Doblo Cargo van which we have converted into a dog van fitted with twin dog cages and 9 small animal carrying baskets. Ideal for transporting a variety of small animals the van conversion will be used for general purpose dog and animal transport and rescue work.

New chassis cab based training vehicle to sample coffee
April 2010: An Indoor event at the NEC was the launch venue for our latest new Iveco Daily 45C15 based training vehicle for leading drinks vending machine company Refreshment Systems.
The new demonstration vehicle features a range of the company's vending machines, all of which are full working models.

The box body is fitted with two large swing out display panels on the nearside which reveal a large slide out extension pod. This extension greatly increases interior floor area in which cafe style seats and tables are arranged for sampling and training.
